    To be fair, the remaster used UE5. Bethesda is apparently not above some engine fuckery, and there’s also remade engine for morrowind in the form of OpenMW. Do I know what I’m talking about here? No, not at all, but if someone explains to me why I’m wrong I’ll be all the smarter for it, so fuck it. Posting this.

      The remaster used unreal 5 for the graphics and creation for the game logic. It’s still the same shitty creation engine it always has been

        Well, I guess that’s a step up, somewhat. Starfield ran like hot garbage on my steam deck, so I’m glad they did that.

        I can’t blame them for using the same framework. Porting a game between engines sucks 7 tons of ass, especially when it wouldn’t even more their biggest project happening at the moment, and the bigger project uses the old engine most likely.

            Yeah, I tried to learn to use unreal once. It got me 500gb of tree models that made my computer hotter than hell.

            In actuality, though, it does run at a solid 30fps on deck. The textures are fucking disgusting sometimes, though.
