You’re right but I’m happy to see that vitriol towards valid criticism. It’s about time they get called out for being monsters

Holy fuck that is the most based thing Loomer has ever said. I’m gonna call a spade a space and say “jihadists in suits” is a sick burn.
They’re investigating the group to see if they can pick up any sweet grooming protips
I feel like those pushing the alternatives don’t understand that most people do not care. And them not caring means fewer people on the platform. And fewer people on the platform makes the ones that do care…care less.
I was happy to leave reddit for Lemmy despite the lack of overall content because the stuff I want to see is (mostly) here and it’s a solo endeavor. But discord…? I’m in a dozen servers with different groups of people, most of them don’t want to deal with new platforms. I’d be running a Matrix server (and dealing with it’s development wors) for a couple of people and discord for the rest…so what’s the point?
I’m not even a discord fanboy…I’d LOVE to switch. But the reality is that I’d be leaving most of my friends and acquaintances behind if I did.
Sandy will be very excited to see you
Yeah it’s not perfect but they definitely think trans women are too weak for the military, too
That just supports what I said?
Err does anyone on the right actually think we have secure borders?
Like wasn’t “securing the borders” part of Trump’s pitch? As in “there’s an invasion taking place and we need to secure the borders”?
The trans one is spot on though
Doesn’t matter if they’re neurodivergent at all, it’s rude to flashbang anyone like that
The only Shorts I ever enjoy are from a sketch comedy channel I like, Almost Friday TV. They’re not just shortened/cropped clips like most other channels do.
It’s literally the only exception to my anti-Shorts rule
Yes. The acronym stands for Human Resources and it’d be a stretch to think they consider us human!
Jokes aside, I actually really liked most of the leadership at that company. I really only disliked the CEO and HR director.
It was crazy. What made it worse was that I didn’t even report it…my friend was so upset about it, he told his boss.
When the HR director asked me what I wanted to happen to the girl, I told her NOTHING. I don’t want her fired or anything, I don’t even work directly with her. Then she asked why, if I didn’t want anything to happen, I reported it? BITCH I DIDN’T I was going to find a new job and move the fuck on with my life
Photos never do it justice. I was blown away by the cherry blossoms when I saw them
A coworker drunkenly made out with my face at a work event and HR tried to send me to a sexually harassment seminar so I could “learn what sexually assault really is”
Another great quote from that meeting: “if you knew she was a sloppy drunk, why were you hanging out with her?”
HR is there to protect the company - not you
It usually takes a couple of “tracks” to notice but the thing that usually makes it obvious to me is how homogenous it all is. AI can’t make a good hook or a catchy tune, it just approximates song structure and spits out a boring average
My stored collection is mostly FLAC, ain’t no way I’m archiving youtube-quality audio lol
Plus half the appeal of using YouTube is discovering new artists! I listen to 5-10 new (to me) albums a week.
In the fictional world that this story takes place in, the conversation wouldn’t happen at all
That is the most made-up exchange I’ve ever heard. Has this guy ever talked to a conservative about this stuff??
The person complaining wouldn’t agree that kids shouldn’t be hungry, they’d complain about the kid’s parents not working hard enough.
I use YouTube for music 8+ hours a day at work (usually full albums) and it was extremely obnoxious when it started happening.
The way around this for 95% of published albums is to not use user-created playlists. When you search for an album, YouTube usually shows it to you on the right side of the results. Click that instead.
A much bigger (imo) problem is the prevalence of AI albums. I hate when they auto play.
Interest rates peaked in '81 at 18% and yes that brings it closer to today’s % of income…but it plummeted within a few years.
And housing/mortgage stuff isn’t the only part in this equation - the bottom 90% of the country has been getting significantly less for their labor since Reagan. Money is hoarded and wages have not kept up with inflation
I think about half of them are pretty awful. And painting aside, I wouldn’t have recognized Gale (guy with the beard) if not for the context
