Milei wants to dollarize Argentina. Ones you do that, it is very hard to move to your own currency again and it would give the US massive influence over Argentina. Health care somewhat pays for itself. Not the really sick people, but making sure workers are healthy to actually work properly has a massive return on investment.

The other part is taking care of general health. Things like cars, bad food, all sorts of pollution and so forth really are bad for health. If you have public health care it is often cheaper to fix the underlying issue then to treat the problems coming from it.

Canada has the best passport to travel to the US, besides an American one. European countries, Japan, Australia and similar countires need ESTA, which Canada does not need. Everybody else needs visas to enter the US. ESTA is sort of like a visa, but easier to get.

Egypt was and is very happy to blockade Gaza. The Saudis, UAE and a bunch more blockaded Yemen for ages. The Islamic State which commited a few genocides in the region was funded by the Golf States. Iran is financing a shit ton of genocidal groups around the region.

They really do not care about genocide. The population cares about Gaza, but the leadership does not.

Egypt helped blockading Gaza. Hell many were happy to blockade Yemen. The UAE currently finances a massive genocide in Sudan, which is certainly on a similar scale to Gaza.

The simple bloody truth is that similar to the West in MENA the governments do not care about genocide, but the people largely do.

Zionism unlike the Nazis is not a threat to western democracy. They want a Jewish state in the Middle East, which is not part of the West. As long as the West is not involved, it usually does nothing or just some arms export bans on the countries and some sanctions on leaders. Currently that is happening in Sudan, which is about as bad as Gaza, but has really nothing to do with the West. There is nothing about it in the news at least in the West.

The real intressting part is more that the West is not sitting on the sitelines, but is somewhat aiding Israel. It obviously depends on the country and some do not do it at all. However even so, you see Western countries moving away from Israel. All but the US that is.

All media is propaganda, so the question is whoes. This is from Singapore, which is very well placed to take in Chinese researches itself. So saying China is an option, is not extacly positive for them.

First of all the fabs are among the most complex projects in the world and the Taiwanese will just blow them up. China can do nothing about that. The workforce of those fabs will also try their best to move abroad. That is also why the US is building those fabs, so they can just have the Taiwanese work in those fabs.

Also Taiwan is a nightmare to invade. It is obviously an island, so you need to ship over the soldiers. We have seen in Ukraine, how fairly cheap seadrones can destroy ships and this is going to happen to China as well. Then Taiwan itself is either densly populated meaning urban warfare, which is really bad or it is a bunch of densly forested mountains, which might be even worse. Add to that sanctions and very likely problems with shipping and this is an insanely expensive thing to do. No amount of chip production is going to save China in that case.

Invading Taiwan is a very dumb idea indeed. I hope China is smart enough to not go for that.
