Don’t cook them alive bro. Just a cleaver through the head and a second later in boiling water. It makes no difference in taste/texture but is (possibly) more humane.
My only source for this is watching a bunch of videos by that one lobster fisherman in Maine. I think because it’s a viable(can get pregnant) female which are protected by law and can’t be kept to help populations stay healthy.

Yeah I should have clarified, You want them alive up until youre cooking them. No need to make them suffer any more than needed.
