People can misremember their dreams after an event happens, people can be subconsciously expecting an event to happen, and so dream about it, and coincidences also exist.
The point of the paperclip maximiser is that it doesn’t care about you at all, ‘being nice’ to it makes no difference. It just wants to make paperclips, and will destroy you to do so.
Way to say you had a good school experience - and everyone should. But not everyone does, unfortunately.
As if some private guns would be any sort of fair fight against the full force of the US military anyway

I don’t know who is in the right. I would say that the important thing is that, since both of them condemn Israel’s actions, and the argument about whether it’s a ‘genocide’ is purely semantic, it isn’t a useful or productive argument - serving only to divide people and distract from the real issue.
The sad reality is that although there were some dissenters, the majority of the people in the country supported the Nazis because they actually believed it, they were taken in by the propaganda, which is insidious and ubiquitous. Humans find it easy to hate an out group, forming an in group. Dehumanising others who are different from us is a natural part of human psychology, and it’s an achievement that in the modern world we have achieved a widespread morality which is so accepting - although obviously we still have far to go.
