Hah speaking of that just had a bunch of difficulty with Amazon accounts last night. In the end I created a new one, it’s just for a firestick that runs VLC and steamlink. But it was refusing to install anything.

Men can, well you know…
But depending on the size of your phone it takes more bravery.
It doesn’t make it to our devs. I just null the field and cry a little inside at how terrible our platform can be
It’s odd to realise other people can also be gamers and I may not even be aware of the games they play, can’t even remember the last ubisoft or EA game I bought. Maybe for EA it might be battle for middle earth. Do they make battlefield? Think I got 3 in a humble bundle and some other games.
Why would Moore’s law matter here for an operating system? Also both are far older than 24 months.
How could they do it though? For already released games there is nothing they can do. Even future games they don’t have direct control over most as they don’t own the games. Banning steam from Windows and require using the Windows store perhaps? I think that is basically Windows in S mode.
Then why haven’t they?
Those kinds of people probably wouldn’t be able to deal with issues in Windows either. Just teach them how to install the OS and start firefox. If it completely breaks at some point tell them to install the OS again.
Autocorrected from unfoldable. This is what I get for occasionally browsing on a shitty Amazon tablet. At least it was cheap to the point of being almost free.
If your stick is unbreakable and unavoidable you have already broken laws of physics anyway
Dumb phones can play music just fine, mine has a 64GB SD card in it, not sure about 5G as it’s still fairly new but can easily get one that use 4G.
For everything else I never used a phone for that anyway. Online banking on PC, IoT can get the fuck off my network and it does have some kind of camera on it but why would I really need one
How do they get malware, you don’t even connect them to the internet
Pinephone + dumb phone is a valid option though. The only thing my pinephone struggled with was calls/sms, so the dumb phone handles that.
My choice is to just not have a smartphone. Something like an old Nokia is what I use, CatB40 specifically but the company licensed to make those no longer exists. I hope Cat find someone else and they still make a line of dumb phones not just smartphones but I don’t really expect it any time soon.
If mine dies probably just get a regular dumbphone for like £10. Can’t collect much data if all it’s capable of doing is calls and SMS which I rarely even use.
For me Linux has been working pretty well
Surely that is following it? Change the name in American. Leave it the same in English.
And your irrefutable proof is…?
Thanks for reminding me about the outdated as fuck HTML/CSS template I need to continue updating tomorrow at work. Might just drink another glass of gin tonight.
