One of the best things about Enterprise was getting screen time for other important races in the Federation. Lower Decks was pretty awesome in this vein, too.
I was kind of hoping that the lower decks would clarify what happened to the Zindi, since in the canonical timeline they kind of just disappeared after the founding of the federation. Presumably they didn’t join since we never see or hear about them.
I vaguely remember some retcon where the Expanse is largely in the Romulan Neutral Zone and that’s why we don’t see it again even though it’s supposed to still exist in the time of the Enterprise-J.
They know what they did.
Maybe it’s because, despite their reputation, they are not troublemakers?
Interesting events in the federation are almost always started by humans and the vulcans are mostly providing adult supervision.
Confrontational? Blustery.
