I’m curious to the level of experience of this community and where they are at in their journey.
I’ll start: Height: 5ft 11in Weight: 167lbs Bench: 95kg Squat: 170kg Deadlift: 183kg
Never saw the inside of a gym until about 2 years ago, but I played plenty of sports growing up.
Honestly that’s probably one of the best things you can do as you enter your middle ages. Get strong, stay strong, but don’t push yourself as to cause injury or degrade cartilage and connecting tissues.
What is your training frequency? And do you have any other goals outside of 350lbs for your deadlift?
The last six months I’ve been lifting 3-4x a week, about an hour each time. I was hitting a wall in March-April with a 4x6 program, so I switched to Wendler 531 in June. So far it’s a lot easier! My squat days had become a huge stressor, but not with this program!
I want to eat right and see how far I can get by New Years. I would love to beat 850lb combined lifts by then, but we’ll see.
Life goal would be to squat 3 plates and deadlift 4. That would be so cool
