I’m in California and they did the same thing but we still get plastic bags. They’re reusable and $0.10 each.

Our bill passed last October or something that will ban all plastic bags in California, including recycled bags, making it paper only for no more than $0.10. Takes effect January 1st

Damn I haven’t heard about that yet. I think that’s good news though, honestly we don’t need these plastic bags. Even at $0.10 each I have a cabinet full of them. I use them as often as I remember to but I def have more than necessary. I already pay the same for plastic bottles, cans, etc… although I get my money back on those when I recycle, as you know. Paper bags just seem easy more sustainable.

For sure. It’s definitely okay by me. I have a bunch saved up myself, and quite a few of the cheap reusables. But my go to bags are from IKEA in Burbank. They have a great selection of bags that fold down nicely, and are very portable. The ones I use the most were only like $5 a piece too.

I noticed that Walmart has started using the cheap shitty ones again. Haven’t looked to see if they claim to be reusable but they’re hardly durable enough for the first go.

I haven’t been to Walmart in so long I can’t actually recall. I know my local Bodega has shitty bags that they also charge for…
