"It was malpractice on the side of Harvard’s lawyers not to pick up the phone and call the members of the antisemitism task force who they had been talking to for weeks,” said May Mailman, the White House senior policy strategist. “Instead, Harvard went on a victimhood campaign.”

    So blaming the victim.

donvict went sky high on the 'demands-, looking for, and expecting, a quick and ‘voluntary’ settlement from harvard to avoid some of it.

instead, the wind blew his piss right back at him.

This is what I’ve gathered so far.

Trump Admin: “remove your DEI programs and stop your students from protesting”

    Harvard: “…no.”

Trump Admin: “we’ll pull your funding.”

    Harvard: “… Aight.”

Trump Admin: “we’ll also remove your immigrant students visas and dig into your old tax files to make sure you’re not hiding anything like the un-American, unpatriotic, loser school you are!”

    Harvard: “…k.”

    Trump Admin: “…!”

    Harvard: “…”

Trump Admin: “… Hey actually that letter was not meant for you. Someone sent that and they weren’t supposed to.”

Harvard: “… Okay… You might want to address that.”

Trump Admin: “Stop being so whiny and acting like a child about it. Get over it.”

Fuck whatever Trump officials might say before or after the fact. Watch what they do, that’s all that matters… they’ll say whatever they need to.

This should be the rule from now on … whatever stupidity the administration announces … everyone ignores and just go about with business as usual

If they want to arrest or force people to do things, let them … fight them every step of the way on everything

harvard has money. lots of money… and alumni. lots of smart, powerful, wealthy alumni… he caved quicker than the front wheel assembly of a cybersuck.

Their endowment as it sits essentially allows them to operate for something like a decade without any external money. And you can guarantee they’ll get a bump in alumni donations if external funding is removed like that.

I believe their endowment sits somewhere around $50 billion. They could definitely float for a few years until Trump is out of office.

Everyone needs to learn from China and Harvard: Just know that you’re better than the repubs and their bullshit, act like it, and don’t bat an eye at their crazy demands. They’ll fold like the cheap suits they wear.

If the Trump/Musk administration actually folded, they’d:

      • Restore all funding
      • Continue with additional grants for research on the basis of merit, per historical practice
      • Stop trying to deport students, staff, and faculty

I don’t see any of those happening yet; just trying to pass blame to lower-ranking officials.

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again.

Harvard has more capital than they know what to do with. They’re busy literally buying up land in Cambridge, Allston/Brighton, playing modern day Roman Empire in the middle of a Capital US city.

You cannot threaten Harvard with capital.

    The Narcissist’s Prayer

    That didn’t happen.
And if it did, it wasn’t that bad.
And if it was, that’s not a big deal.
And if it is, that’s not my fault.
And if it was, I didn’t mean it.
And if I did, you deserved it.

Bullshit. I think it’s Elon, going for maximum chaos. DOGE has inserted itself into all the government IT systems, I bet he saw this go through internally and made sure it got sent to Harvard from someone’s legit email address just to force things.

Translation: We thought we were gonna threaten them and they’d comply. They didn’t flinch, we feel silly, this was never the plan.
