Unbridled capitalism is very bad indeed, but the basics of it aren’t bad. It can generate a lot of wealth through freedom. If you properly tax that wealth (top level brackets go 90-100%) then you have an enormous budget for a socialist framework that gives you anything from free healthcare to free education to free basic housing for everyone, etc.
Communism has a huge amount of issues that simply makes it impractical. You need to remove a lot of freedoms, everything requires a huge burocracy, you’ll always (no exceptions in history) end up having to murder all your opponents and anyone who doesn’t want to fall in line… Communism is nice on paper but in the real world there hasn’t been a single example where it didn’t cause untold suffering

And again, yeah, capitalism as in the US is a shit show that needs to die in a fire, but come on, be realistic here for a second, capitalism looks shit in places like the US but if used well, it could generate heaven on earth for everyone
