A related thing I’ve realized is counseling can’t do anything when you’re stressed about the world. They can only say to work on yourself. I’m not stressed about myself!

Either you become an advocate for yourself and fight for your own mental health, or accept the fact that resignation results in other people making decisions to benefit themselves at your cost and proceed to walk all over you

Seems like a part of what Heather Marsh calls “autogenocide”.
