We have no obligation to treat him like he’s a decent person who deserves the benefit of the doubt.

I don’t see anyone here who is trying to give him benefit of the doubt. Everyone is adamant that he did something wrong. I haven’t seen anyone saying he shouldn’t have gotten beaten up.
