I was interested in the first few season. Its seemed like a good concept of minimal survival. Yet as the seasons have progressed it has turned into a bastard child of Survivor and big brother. The naked part is a ploy to begin with. But hey, you get to see a nice butt once in awhile haha. The show has shifted from survival skills, to interpersonal conflicts and it seems bland now. Anyone else notice the change?

FWIW the best survival show I’ve seen is Survivorman. He has no camera crew, just him and his cameras.

I gave up on “Last One Standing” after four episodes. That was crap, although I suspect much of the blame should go to the editors and producers for playing up fake interpersonal conflicts. But the regular show is pretty much what it always was. It has always been more about mental and emotional strength than physical survival. The survivors’ real personalities come out under stress and sometimes they are not pretty. But the nice, generous ones shine through.

I enjoyed N&F XL and the originals. TBH I didnt even give the latest reincarnation a chance. I saw the preview and it was about alliances, immunity and forcing other people to tap out. The show has given up on being unique and has fallen back on de facto reality tv gimmicks.
