In case you’re wondering how anyone can think the climate is the big issue…

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yassamin_Ansari

In 2025, Ansari was among a minority of House Democrats to back legislation rebuking the International Criminal Court (ICC) over arrest warrants issued against Israeli leaders. Ansari argued that the ICC’s actions were inappropriate, stating that “As a liberal democracy with an independent judiciary, Israel has the responsibility of investigating allegations of wrongdoing”.[47]

    And

According to financial disclosures, Ansari’s father lent her between $250,000 and $500,000 for a condo payment.[49] Ansari’s financial disclosures from October 2023 showed that she owns two properties in downtown Phoenix and made between $15,000 and $50,000 in 2023 by renting one. Ansari also estimated in the disclosure that her assets were worth between $2.5 million and $8.3 million.[50]

    She’s a millionaire landlord whose also pro-genocide…

The climate is pretty much the only aspect of the party platform voters and her agree on. She can’t talk about fixing any of the other big issues.

The Democratic party just doesn’t fucking get it. They keep making the same mistakes over and over again.

Actually, I contend that they do get it and just aren’t willing to change course.

“The party” is the DNC, and about 50 state parties.

And it’s better than it has been in over half a century.

But we still got some shitty neoliberals holding office, like the Rep this article is about, that we need to get rid of.

Pardon me if I haven’t been impressed with them over the past several years. But I’ll concede that there are some signs that the tide may be turning. Too early for me to feel much optimism though.
