This is Miyamoto. I am pleased to announce that for the live-action film of The Legend of Zelda, Zelda will be played by Bo Bragason-san, and Link by Benjamin Evan Ainsworth-san. I am very much looking forward to seeing both of them on the big screen.

I remember reading about a film studio acquiring the rights to make a Zelda and a Metroid movie way back in or just after high school and then it just never happened and that’s how I came to learn that sometimes studios buy the rights for a thing not to make the thing, but to prevent a competitor from making that thing.
Ah like those fantastic four movies
