Absolutely blue no matter who was about solidarity against the fascists. Mamdami is the blue this time. Cuomo just another self serving vote splitting fascist enabler. So yes, blue (Democrats) no matter who (especially because mamdami seems like a great candidate this time).

I know 3rd parties actually have a presence in NY. AOC having come from them. Are there any polling close to either of the two major parties in the mayors race? And if not, why shouldn’t people vote blue this time. Especially seeing as it’s mamdami? Who should you have them vote for.

They aren’t advocating to vote against Mamdani. They’re pointing out that “blue no matter who” is almost exclusively applied to progressives who complain about establishment Dems. When it’s the other way around, establishment Dems are quick to abandon their alleged principles and sabotage progressive candidates.

Is it almost exclusively applied to establishments Dems because that’s who runs the most often? Or is there some real different dichotomy? Don’t get me wrong Cuomo can go fuck himself with a sideways baseball bat. Wanting to have it both ways he’s going to fight for the worst possible outcome.

Plenty of genuine people got a lot of venom and vitrial in 2024 calling for solidarity against the fascists. And still do. From many of the people posting lower down below this article. Though not OP. I don’t recall them being part of that group. But blue no matter who cuts both ways. And this time Como ain’t the blue candidate and should really sit the fuck out and take the clue. This time people will actually be able to vote blue no matter who and hopefully feel good about it for once. Since it isn’t Como or Adams.

Mamdami is WFP (working families party) endorsed and they’ve been going to bat for him too in their newsletters. While 3rd party is more viable in NY its primarily in an endorsement type thing as candidates can run under multiple parties (thus listed multiple times on the same ballot) and you choose the party you vote for them under. Theoretically, this gives the 3rd party more sway in pushing policies but it is rarely straight 3rd party candidates. Unsure if the city has more 3rd parties I’m unaware of (there’s Republican, Democrat, Conservative, and WFP).

Oh. Well there are a number posting here that aren’t doing it as a bit. But as long as Quomo gets fucked I don’t care.

I think it’s a bit, at least. And I agree, I hope he gets nothing but crickets from voters with this independent run

They aren’t one of the names I generally associate with that group. So you are probably right.
