I bought a king sized blanket that I liked and I cover it with that. I wouldn’t care if the sofa fabric was removable but it’s attached on this one. My boys are mud magnets.

My dogs are allowed anywhere but the bathroom and kitchen. One is a husky, so her fur is gonna get everywhere regardless. The other is some kind of chihuahua mix with short fur and doesn’t shed at all. They are also both considered hypoallergenic and do not get that distinct smelly dog smell.

We live at a beach; there’s sand everywhere - it’s unavoidable.
This coverage involves 2 fitted sheets, a couple towels, and a flannel sheet. Whatever works. It gets vacuumed almost daily, and changed out weekly.

Thrifted blankets that match your sensibilities over the main couch, or the dog portions of the couch.

He has his own ikea loveseat as his bed. I tuck in a blanket around the seat cover and swap it out when it smells like dog.

We have a significant number of dog blankets here.

Bought a couch cover on Amazon which I draped over the couch. Both cover and couch are gray but not matching gray

I cannot imagine forbidding my animals from using the furniture, tbh. So yes, my dog is allowed on the sofa and bed. Generally the dog stays on a blanket on the sofa to contain the majority of fur. Otherwise, sticky rollers and vacuums.

Yes I had let my previous 2 dogs on my sofa and also let my current one on there.

I have a leather couch and sometimes I will put twin sized fitted sheets over sections of the cushions and then change those out periodically.

I used to have a standard fabric couch and it was a gross nightmare with pets. I highly recommend getting a leather sofa if you don’t already have one if you’re gonna go down this path. I know that’s prob not possible for many but that was a HUGE game changer for me and I will never go back to a fabric couch as a pet owner.

Yes, both our dogs are allowed on the sofa. We put down blankets if they’re wet/muddy after the park. Otherwise we just Chom chom it every so often and use a Green machine for stains.

For reference we have one border collie pit mix with a single smooth coat, and one heeler border collie mix with a rough double coat.

The heeler mix is our big shedder and the biggest reason we bought a Roomba.

She’s allowed on the furniture and bed, but I do keep my spot on the couch covered with pillows if I’m not using is.

Because I need one couch cushion that isn’t covered in hair.
