Doublespeak. Take away women’s rights (you know for damn sure that “no fault” divorce and DV support are what Heritage is slavering to cut next) and have a bunch of “feminists” claim that the most important priority in women’s rights is the exclusion of trans women. Not the fact that women are dying because they can’t get reproductive healthcare, not the fact that Adriana Smith was a fucking zombie incubator (in a scene that mirrors something in the Handmaids Tale tv show) - the fact that a trans woman might take a leak in the women’s restroom or be on the women’s team in a fencing competition.
It seems to be a common thing, couching misogyny in the language of “protecting” or “defending” women. This stuff makes my skin crawl.
