You can certainly cook eggs in a well-seasoned cast iron. I just like to do french omelets which requires you to stir things before it sets, which is a bit more difficult on seasoned cast iron or carbon steel vs just a plane non-stick.
Both of my carbon steel and cast irons are larger 12 inch pans, so they are both a decent weight.
I find cast iron to be a bit heavy for everyday use, carbon steel gets you most of the benefits while giving you more flexibility on the weight.
The only thing I use my non stick for is omelette dishes mostly because it’s much easier to fold French omelet when you can lift the pan easily with 1 hand.

Our intelligence was not evolved for too much thinking. Most of our brain is wired towards feeling, and for the overwhelming majority of human existence, our feelings were well suited for small, cooperative, communal existence as small tribes/bands/clans. We don’t “think” for most of the decisions we make in our day to day lives, nor do we try to learn from all the possible sources.

Try to get the Wi-Fi node to a better place using Ethernet.
Get a Wi-Fi “repeater” or better yet, a mesh network, where the second access point is placed in between your computer and the router to “rebroadcast” to the router.
Get an access point with a healthy uplink. Mesh networks work too.
