Uh funny timing but my desktop has been getting worse and worse recently until it just became unusable. Just opened it up to find that the liquid cooling for the CPU was leaking… I might have been neglecting my PC for a while. hopefully performance will be better once I get this fixed (and cleaned out)

Yeah I should probably add that it’s the 12-Core M2 Pro. I’m pretty close to the top of the line for MacBooks right now but I am still very impressed that it delivers. Not to mention how quiet the fans are; if they run at all.

You’re giving the perfect example of the centrist mindset. I’ve followed American bills and laws being passed in the past four years and there is an objectively correct opinion on which side is better for the wellbeing of the people.

Republicans are constantly trying to repeal laws of bodily autonomy and workers rights. They are pushing for ways to gerrymander and make voting more difficult in Democrat areas. They have to rely on riling up their base with lies and fear-mongering because it’s all they have.

The democrats are more of a mixed bag but they are at least doing some things that actually help and improve the lives of the average person instead of actively doing the opposite.

But that doesn’t fit within the centrist framework because they are just too smart

Ah, reducing vertices of a pre-made model is a challenge. You can use the Decimate modifier and tinker around until you find something that works, but it will rarely be ideal.

If you want to get a perfect topology you will have to do it manually. Look into methods of re-topology for this. It will pretty much be drawing faces over the existing mesh to create a brand new mesh. This requires a lot of time, effort, and experience with what a good topology looks like. I’d really recommend learning this at some point if you want to get better but it’s not an easy task. However, learning this will also allow you to learn to bake high resolution normals onto a lower resolution model, which is a really nice skill to have. Then your lower resolution model will be easy to work with and still look high quality!

You’re 100% right. The people who are already on these platforms are the ones that don’t like any algorithm at all, so they tend to be combative about its implementation. I don’t think there will be mainstream appeal until it is easy and fun to use for the average person
