I had to stop consuming caffeine for health reasons (exacerbates my digestive issues). I found that it actually makes a fairly big difference, depression tends to sap your energy and caffeine counteracts that somewhat.

I do think it’s a bit crazy that people learn to drive manual cars on the road. It is a lot to manage when you have no experience. Learners should be given a few hours to just mess around on an airfield or car park so they can get a feel for the machine first of all.
Really good point and IMO it should extend to automatic cars. Handling a car isn’t completely trivial, I never understood why you’re supposed to learn it in the middle of traffic (OK, the answer is probably “money”, but still).
Hard to say without knowing details. How’s the traffic in your area, is it a big city or more rural? What country?
I made a shell script titled “update”, it updates system packages, flatpaks and python packages. Too many lines for an alias for my tastes.
Maybe you just don’t rent in the kinds of places that have shitty landlords.
The only thing that’s stupid about this IMO is that Skywalker is supposed to be a last name, not a first/given name.
He says his son was eventually issued the passport and the family’s vacation is still on.
He [the father] says his son was eventually issued the passport and the family’s vacation is still on.
Sounds like that office doesn’t know how their own rules work.
Vivec?
Doesn’t work that well when the way is constantly twisting and splitting. Cave layout can be extremely confusing.
Don’t most people have Whatsapp? It’s certainly harder to spy on the content of your messages, it’s just a matter of how much issue you have with giving Meta your metadata.
It’s true for pretty much anyone who is actually worth pillaging.
Minecraft probably. I avoid legitimate horror games (and movies) and the fact that you don’t have saves can get a little stressful when you’re down in a cave, don’t know how to find your way back (and thus probably won’t find your body) and then basically get jumpscared by dangerous enemies or holes in the ground.
I mean, give me a knife or screwdriver and it’s equal, but anything that requires extensive practice for basic competence is naturally going to be become focused on one hand (e.g. handwriting) or a specific combination of hands (e.g. you need two hands to play guitar, but people will generally learn to play it either righthanded or lefthanded and suck at the other one regardless of how ambidexterous they are).
Good loose-leaf beats teabags any day, and you rarely find the good stuff in supermarkets. I’m usually drinking some kind of rooibos-chai-mix, though. Teabags are fine for that.
I remember frequently telling my mother to stop smoking, hiding her cigarettes and the like (that was in elementary school). She still smokes, I never started.
I wonder where I got that from. I don’t think we talked about that in school so early, and I didn’t have like The Talk about drugs at home.
IMO, the weird part is taking your glasses off in the first place, especially when you apparently need them for desk work. It’s not like they’re coming in from outside or were taking a shower, they were clearly already sitting at the desk in working position.
My glasses don’t have a frame, but there’s no chance that they’ll break from holding them from the sides of the glasses. Though it does increase the risk of smudging them.
The fact that most of my PC builds are generally midrange builds (i.e. about that $700 price if I reuse the case and PSU and GPU prices aren’t surging), and that midrange-build-GPU is only barely usable for AAA for one full generation. It might go for longer with games that are as well-optimized as a Doom game, but that’s not the norm.
oof.
