I did! The outcome has been that I go to the gym now lol, these days about 2-4 times a month depending on how I feel. I was trying to chase the dragon of a tight tummy for the first six months and was regularly going 3 times a week, but slowed down once I realized that my bloating probably has other causes.

I mean, I think it’s fine as a gimmick for wealthy gamers, and it’s been at that level for awhile.
As the future of gaming though? yeah, never gonna happen. M+KB is the best controlling scheme for tons of the genres I play, and controllers are great for a bunch of others. There’s actually not that many genres that are improved by full body motion tracking, they’re pretty much all first-person games, and they often turn a relaxing gaming session into a workout. It’s not that the technology isn’t there, it’s that the concept it’s fundamentally flawed.
The issue is that anyone with a functioning prefrontal cortex has known he’s a pedophile since at least 2016, when it was released that he would regularly walk into the changing rooms at the child beauty pageants he would sponsor.
This whole controversy has really just been about desperately hoping the MAGA crowd would accept a single fact in their life if maybe it didn’t come from mainstream media. The issue that I see is that the right-wing propaganda machine has completely given up on getting the Epstein files released. They’re not gonna cover it, they’ll call it a fake news attack by the Democrats, and that’s the last thought the MAGA crowd will have on it. There was a very brief moment where they did care earlier this year, but Trump and specifically Mike Johnson have successfully delayed long enough.
the other issue is even if somehow it did break through and galvanized the MAGA base against Trump… so what? Trump has already made it abundantly clear he doesn’t give a fuck about his base, the law, rules and norms, or really anything beyond consolidating his power and acting like a king. Would that base actually go so far as to vote Democrat in the midterm elections a year from now? Would they vote Democrat in 2028, assuming we even have free and fair elections by then? would they even still remember? at the end of the day, I think they hate the mythical idea of “The Left” that they’ve been sold too much to ever actually fight alongside us, so hoping the J6 crowd would try to actually save democracy this time is absurd.
I think this is the big difference. For the really successful companies, their proprietary engine is their baby, and they have teams spending dozens of hours every week trying to improve its performance, squashing out bugs, doing refactoring, etc. I’m thinking of companies like GrindingGearGames and DigitalExtremes who’ve been on their engines for over a decade and continually push improvements with every major update.
I simply don’t believe that work is being done at Bethesda. I’d be shocked if it was. It feels like they treat maintenance of their engine as some kinda punishment they make junior devs go through or something. At this point, they’ve accumulated such a mountain of technical debt that it might honestly be more efficient for them to start from scratch, which is a pretty damning statement.
I dunno who needs to hear this, but minimum wage workers do not care about you. They don’t have the time or energy to judge you over silly stuff. If you make a minor faux pas, they might chuckle about it for a couple seconds at most, and then they have to get back to work.
In my experience working a few different fast food jobs, the only customers I still remember are the ones who were incredibly rude assholes or straight up threatened my life. If someone was generally friendly and came in like 10-12 times a month, I would maybe remember their name. Typically though, the only thing that was on my mind was making it through my shift, and trying to figure out what food I could steal so I could eat dinner that night.
I mean to each their own, I was not impressed by the lack of meaningful roleplaying decisions and the lack of other faction questlines. I felt like the game had very little to offer outside of the main storyline, it really felt like settlement building took too much of the scope despite being rather lackluster. I also think “good with mods” is the same as “fun with friends” in that it applies to literally any game.
In case you were wondering, Starfield was much of the same. Lots of “Yes, Sarcastic Yes, No” dialogues, lots of focus on the main story, with the big twist being that they added lots of New Game+ easter eggs to encourage replaying with the same character.
There’s absolutely no way it’ll be able to live up to the hype. Fallout 4 was a disappointment compared to the rest of the series, Starfield was a disappointment, I just no longer have confidence Bethesda can produce good games.
I haven’t quite hit thirty yet, but my friend has. She’s taken up boxing, which might seem counterintuitive, but building up your strength is a great way to avoid having a weak core and knees. It also means she does regular stretching.
You’ve basically reinvented torrenting, but the first step of that is you need to save local copies of that art to your machine. Once you have it, peer to peer sharing will be the only vector for distributing it.
The U.S. balkanizing is what I expect to occur sometime in the next few decades. Divisions have just grown so strongly that there already are functionally a few different Americas, even if we’re still bound together for now.
In terms of the current shutdown though, I suspect it will last through Thanksgiving, and we will see the mother of all air traffic catastrophes. Multiple high profile crashes, tons of airports fully shutdown, lots of airspace shutdown, all amidst one of the busiest travel times of the year. Afterwards, there will be enough pressure to get the Reps to agree to a clean continuing resolution, which will fund the govt through January, and then we’ll do the whole song and dance again.

Yeah none of those reasons were why people hated Shadows though. It was entirely racists. They aren’t gonna make any more improvements to their formula because Ubisoft doesn’t innovate, they’ll just wait for someone else to add an interesting twist to the open world formula and then steal that.

This is where the problem really began. though afaik, you can get a version of the bazzite distro with the closed source nvidia drivers already installed, so did you select a different one? Nvidia gave me nothing but issues when I was trying to migrate to Linux though. Ever since I switched to AMD, it’s been smooth sailing.
Had a partner who was like this. I was consistently baffled by so many things he had issues with. Any time we were discussing something like directions or driving or even just moving like a couch, he would be so confused when I would say “I just picture it in my head.”
There’s a well-known quote about how capitalism seems inescapable, but so did the divine right of kings. The problem I have with it is that we didn’t get rid of kings. If anything, men like Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, Jeff Bezos, they have more wealth and power than kings could ever even dream of. All that’s really happened is that royalty has been obfuscated; they no longer need to be the face of the kingdom. They can buy elected leaders to achieve their goals, purchase media companies in order to control the narrative of the peasantry, and they never need to step in the spotlight. It makes me think that humanity will ultimately never be able to rid ourselves of these parasites; there will always be dragons.
