PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•I Hope that Fantasy Gives us Strength – Metaphor ReFantazio Review & AnalysisEnglish
1·2 months agoUnfortunately, that’s what many people think… They let go of imagination and fantasy just because they grow older, or because everyone tells them it’s the right thing to do. Luckily, not everyone does that, especially because, as you said, there are many stories that help us, teach us something, or are simply enjoyable, and we should not ignore them just because they aren’t objectively real; they can still be real in our hearts, and that will never change.
Personally, this story reminded me of my childhood struggles and my hopes for a better future; I shall not say more because of spoilers, but fiction can be powerful indeed, and can truly give you strength!

1·4 months ago- It’s somewhere in the introduction: as of now, my Desktop PC runs Windows
- As far as I know, I was running the Linux port. Why are you assuming that most Linux ports have worse performance? 🤔

It depends on how much detail you want to understand. You can play Steins;Gate and Robotics;Notes on their own, but they are best understood after playing Chaos;Head (personally, I played C;H after them). Chaos;Child necessarily follows Chaos;Head. For Occultic;Nine, you can read it with no prior knowledge, as far as I’ve seen. For Anonymous;Code, you need Steins;Gate at the bare minimum, and at least a decent summary of Chaos;Head’s themes. Anything more is just added references that you’ll be able to get.
Don’t feel threatened and jump in!
