Glass. Meh just heated sand.
Wish it was that simple, but glass & construction-grade silica sand are actually becoming somewhat scarce and facing shortages. The composition, purity, and grain size make some sand vastly more desirable than other sand. There’s already commercial operations grinding down quartz slabs, because thats easier than trying to sieve and process out all the non-quartz grains.
And sand-dredging operations arent any less damaging to the enviroment than other strip mining methods even where there are good deposits. Glass recycling is good.
Give it a few (hundred) million years. It’ll happen.

Because my trapezii are fuckin’ jacked. Straight yoked. I’ve been working on my sternocliedomastoid form for years with some serious cervical reps. Glad someone noticed.
A double entendré?
I think its just a reference to an old shitpost, of which the humor derives from absurdity.
A youtube compliation of high tension powerlines exploding.
It’s a fairly active instance so you should get some feedback at least.
Theres also https://live.hexbear.net/c/music for live listening/sharing, but like 30% chance anyone is on at any given time.
To be fair, the self-congratulatory threads on Hex are getting old too. Yes, I get it, there was dunks, keep it to the tank.
Meyer lemons & Kaffir Limes immediatly jump to mind, but ive heard good things about dwarf plums & dwarf blueberry bushes, would have to look into them farther. All of these will require root & branch pruning after a year or two, but that’s basically all woody plants if you wanna keep them desktop smoll.
The size constraint of fitting on a desk is going to be the biggest limiter. A dwarf fruit/citrus tree or rubber ficus is probably your best best if you’ve got a window spot.
Probably stock up on shoes with different sole & treadhight. Flipflops one day, combat boots the next. Or identical shoes with different amounts of wear on the bottom, vary your leg height & you’ll adjust your posture to compensate. Might be able to get away with just carrying really heavy shit in only one of your pockets. Anything sensitive enough to track small signifiers in stride length & foot pronation would hopefully be easy to juke by that same sensitivity.

Take the coin out when you’re doing sneaky shit.
I read somewhere that during covid there was a big shift in recognition techniques to overall facial morphology & gait recognition.
I’ll try & find an article. Mask up & keep a coin in your shoe.
I thought about spraypaint, but i don’t know if that’ll hurt the snake. Would definitely piss it off. I figured a bit of nail polish would do the trick, but i dont know if thats bad for snakes either. And then at least i’d have a firm grasp on a pissed off snake. Was informed this was a terrible idea. DO NOT paint snakes.
I’ve got a lot of rats & fieldmice around the house, so i dont mind the snakes. I just want to stop them from trying to raid my coop.

It happens to all of us at one time or another. We all live in societies scarred by hundreds of years of brainworms; Grew up with them, internalized them. It takes effort to just see the scope of these brainworms, much less change them.
Most of Hexbear is hyper-vigilant against this sort of thing because we’ve spent a lot of time deprogramming ourselves and others of these particular ideological blinders. We can get pretty defensive when our fash-detectors ping. I’m sorry if we’ve hit you with undeserved ire.
In addition to what other posters have said, chemotrophic bacteria can play a significant role concentrating/enriching certain metallic ores by eating dissolved minerals in deep groundwater and metabolizing out metals. Lots of vein-gold runs through very old & fractured marble/granite bedrock with a lot of hydrologic activity.
