I see The Road primarily, but I could also give a nod to The Road Warrior…
It really is a great apple! I’ve recently tried one for the first time. I can definitely recommend!
Also the licky fingers thing doesn’t bother me nearly as much as the people who dig their long, dirty fingernails into produce, and sometimes I don’t notice until I’ve already brought it home… Blehhh!
Got any horror stories or tips as an insider?

Apologies for my post and respect for your appropriate response. Someone pissed in my Cheerios this morning.
Your post title grabbed my attention because I recently started watching Survivor for the first time (social event not really my pick). Anyway it’s fascinating to watch their behavior. These people are constantly talking about “reading” people. They’re always trying to inject meaning and intent where there is none. They are not as smart as they think they are, and they struggle with communication just as much as we do.
One thing I’ve noticed is NTs are constantly lying to each other then trying to “read between the lines.” Not so much malicious intent as keeping your cards close to your chest sort of thing. When someone comes up and just says what they mean, their minds explode. Many of them read into what you’re saying the worst possible interpretation. I’m still trying to figure this out.
I’ve seen a similar thing in court, where you think you’re trying to document facts and distill away all the emotion and speculation. WRONG! It seems to work like Survivor where 1 + 1 = 3.
Stop trying to be like them. They’ll never truly accept you. Many of them would prefer to destroy you. Their methods of communication are inefficient.
Fuck the NTs.
Electronic Arts started out so differently. The best, highest quality games, sold in album cases like vinyl records. They wanted to make their devs into rock stars. M.U.L.E., Seven Cities of Gold, Archon. Every game was innovative in every way.
Much later they’d changed, shifted toward the dark side, slipping way. But they still managed to bring us two of my favorite MMOs of all time: Motor City Online and Earth and Beyond.
MCO was online multiplayer Need For Speed with real classic American cars with real hot rod parts, the real engines, everything. I’ve not seen anything like it since. Hardly no one wants to pay to license real world cars any more. And you certainly don’t get the real engines with the real hot rod parts.
EAB was a crappy FPS but somehow 2D space game, but it had the best crafting and leveling system. You take things apart eventually learning how to build things. Player built stuff could possibly go was high as 200% quality so other players would want to buy your wares. The leveling system had three distinct lines: exploration, combat, and trade. Play the game how you wanted to having fun your way not how they think you should.
Anyway, EA killed them both, turned off the servers, refused to release the server code so player servers or single player modes were impossible. They sent me a coupon for their new Sims game, though.
So fuck EA. Haven’t bought a single one of their games since.
Cat: Help me!
Husband: Kill me!
Wife: Shut up and buy me another corn dog!
Actually if you want a serious answer, I usually try to apply force as close to the hinge as possible when opening and closing the lid. This way the full length of the screen isn’t acting as a lever multiplying the force on the relatively short span of the hinge mounting bracket.
I definitely agree this is too common a problem not to be by design.
