I recently bought a ds lite in a second hand store and found that game to be one of the most fun ones. Scribblenauts is also quite fun.
The second one, forbidden west, is good too. But I find the world building and architecture of Meridian and the surrounding towns very interesting and very beautiful in many ways. I think I prefer the first one, the mechanics got changed a bit and I don’t really like that you can just fly everywhere in the second one.
Factorio is a Linux native game and some of the nicest people I have ever met online I have met through that game. It doesn’t fit your last criteria but you often see people again if you play on the same servers.
