The stumbling in the dark aspect was intentional and added to the charm of the game. Modern games these days and even most of them back then were very heavy on the hand holding and this one just slaps your hand away when you reach out.

I can see how that is not for everyone though.

If you caught a car on fire an ambulance and fire truck would show up. They would load the victim into the ambulance and the fire truck would put the fire out. Then the ambulance drive to a hospital and the fire truck would return to the fire station. It was just one small thing. In 5 an ambulance would spawn drive to the victim and run up to them and resurrect them. The fire truck would spawn and put the fire out then drive away and despawn.

The car physics were more realistic. It had vertices deformation. You could also mod the car damage and car physics. People reacted to where they got shot. It used the old euphoria physics engine for ragdolls. So you could have NPCs grab onto your car as you hit them (ie hold onto your hood or door handle). Water physics were a lot better. NPCs reactions to things around them were much better and more varied. Police would stop crime without shooting. IE they’d arrest people or give tickets etc. You could climb things (not just ledges but like scale up a building via the pipes and hvac). The phone and computer were a lot more interactive. You could call up any number you find even if it was written on a bathroom door.

GTA5 was a drastic step backwards in it’s implementation. after GTA4.

I work in construction. We have a re-roof job running right now. They go through almost a pallet of water every day and are required to have x amount of rest in shade. When it got to hot the hours were moved to night till mid day to protect them from the heat.

If they suspected him of being on drugs they should have pulled him from the job site immediately once symptoms were showing. Anything less is a danger to the employee as well as everyone else on the site.

Picked up sea of thieves. Has been ok. Wish you could do 6 player crews though. I enjoy just sailing about in it. But wish it wasnt quite so toxic pvp oriented.

I’ve been playing Hollow Knight again. Sofar I’ve never beaten it but I have a feeling this will be the time! Generally get about an hour or two in after work while sitting with my wife as she watches garbage tv.

Yes, people still use it all the time. More people use IRC day to day than they do Lemmy at the moment. Though Lemmy’s numbers are close without the bots. Lemmy will overtake IRC soon if it’s not already. I’ve got a v3 IRC client right here on my desktop.
