That’s Jesse Plemons. I don’t see Video Game Highschool on his list of acting credits in IMDB.
You might be thinking of Bryan Forrest.

Sony didn’t have both versions readily available in the Playstation Store. While I did eventually purchase the DLC (which is the deluxe version, not a typical DLC), I’ll be damned that Sony didn’t make it easy to find the OG version in the store.
And I put that on Sony, not the game publisher. Regardless, BG3 has been a breath of fresh air to gaming this year. About time a studio put out a full game without divvying it up into expansions and DLCs.
Or Rutger Hauer in Blade Runner.
One of the most influential science fiction monologues was ad libbed, and it’s so much better than the original script.
Original script:
“I’ve seen things… seen things you little people wouldn’t believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion bright as magnesium… I rode on the back decks of a blinker and watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments… they’ll be gone.”
Hauer’s monologue:
“I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe… Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion… I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain… Time to die.”
OMFG…funny. Stealing this!
No, the orange spine books are all 1st Edition rules. They were the second printing published around 1983.
There were a few interesting books published in 1985 by TSR prior to 2nd Edition. Legends and Lore, Unearthed Arcana, and Oriental Adventures.
Legends and Lore was 2e.
The 1985 2nd printing of L&L (where the name was changed and the Lovecraft items were removed) was still under 1st Edition rules. That’s the copy I have.
Was Legends & Lore really originally a 1st edition book?
Yes. Legends & Lore was originally a reprinting of Deities & Demigods with a new title and cover. It was later recast into a 2nd edition book. The 2nd edition version contains new content.
I might still have all the basic D&D rulebooks from Basic through Immortals, however they’re no longer in their boxes.
IIRC Cthulu was in there. However I have Legends & Lore, not Deities & Demigods. Basically the same book, except TSR changed the name because “the devil.”
EDIT
I did not recall correctly. The Lovecraft stuff isn’t in the 2nd printing.
I still have almost the entire first edition library of these at my brother’s house. I need to get them back.
Fun fact…
Cleopatra the VII’s era, which was in 49 BCE is closer to our time than the estimated construction of the pyramids in 2500 BCE.
OMFG…this pekingese is a little scrapper. Such a cute dog.
Thank god I wasn’t drinking coffee…I might have spit it all over the computer screen.
Your post says Rutherford, but your meme count this week screams Boimler
jk
Seriously you’ve been posting some gems recently!
They had BUCKETS of funding from wizards of the Coast for this. They also had a massive studio with more than 400 people working on it.
They had the IP; they did not receive a single cent from WotC. They funded the game with money from their previous games, and in fact, they paid WotC for the IP.
They’re not. Most of the videos and articles I’ve read specifically mention Elden Ring and TotK as other examples.
To be fair with Ortegas they lean heavily into the thrill seeking flyboy archetype.
They do, but man an Erica Ortegas centered episode would be awesome. I would love to have an episode where we aren’t reminded that “Hi, my name is Erica Ortegas; I fly the ship.” Because at this point it feels like it’s trolling the audience.
And considering the way the season ended, there’s no guarantee that Ortegas makes it through alive. She’s one of the few characters that doesn’t have plot armor if TOS canon is to stand relatively unaltered.
Let hbomberguy tell you how Sherlock is bad by talking about it for what feels like an entire season of Sherlock.
Moffat…Moffat…Moffat
While I understand your hesitation, I definitely believe there could have been at least five more relevant episodes in Season 2. This season was overall character driven instead of a “planet of the week” format we’ve seen before. So, there could have been some extra episodes that extrapolated on the seasonal Gorn arc, or an Ortegas episode, or a Pelia episode. There’s a lot of potential to provide spanning character and seasonal arcs while delivering episodes from different planets over a 15 episode season.
I definitely believe 20 episodes is pushing it, but a 12-15 episode season could work if the stories are laid out well.
That’s alright. When I first saw the episode USS Calilister I thought he was Matt Damon.
Plemons is actually married to Kirsten Dunst. He’s got quite a lot of acting credits under his belt. Friday Night Lights, Varsity Blues, and most recently Killers of the Flower Moon with Leonardo DiCaprio.
