Adding on to my original answer, there are a bunch of shows on PBS Kids that will meet your criteria. Here are a few off the top of my head:
Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That. Covers nature and science topics. More about learning and interacting than experimenting. Also available on Tubi.
Work it Out Wombats. This one didn’t appeal to my kids so I’ve seen just a couple of episodes, but it’s about solving problems in a systematic manner.
Mega Wow. Live action. Only like 10 episodes but my kids are crazy about it right now. Hands on exploring of scientific topics.
Elenor Wonders Why on PBS Kids. Each episode is ~ 20 minutes, broken into two ~ 10 minute stories. Cute animal kids explore nature and/or experiment in an inquiry-based manner. Many episodes have a song covering a history of science topic at the end of a segment. Animated with a calm, quiet aesthetic.
I’ve successfully repressed many of my Trump-era political memories.
Can anyone tell me how Republicans went from “we’ll be destroyed and we’ll deserve it” to “unggh, Daddy Trump, destroy me harder” between 2016 and 2017?
Oh, here’s another one. For people who do yard work, I’m a big fan of using a machete instead of a weed whacker machine. So much fun to let out your inner Star Wars Kid. I bought a cheapo $7 Walmart machete a few years ago and haven’t used the weed whacker since. And I expect the blade to last forever, unlike the string trimmers.
Isn’t the horribly named “UbreakIfix” chain kind of everywhere now? Not sure what Best Buy adds to the party.
Remember, each Bluey episode is 7 minutes long.
Be like Chili and Bandit for 7 minutes a day and you’re meeting the Bluey parenting expectations.
Carbon steel unseasoned wok. I’ve used mine multiple times weekly for almost 20 years for stir frying and deep frying. Nothing fancy, just a Joyce Chen wok with some accessories that was $30 at Bed Bath Beyond (RIP). My mom has used hers for 50 years.
This is one of the Moulton barns on Mormon Row.

But Twitter is one of the best known brands on the internet. It would be mind-bogglingly stupid to just throw that away.
What the fuck is this X thing? Sounds like a shitty version of Twitter, like the one that Trump is always ranting on.
This is a big deal. I know a ton of people who want to go electric but worry about not having enough juice on the occasional road trip.
Whether that’s a valid reason for not going electric, that’s debatable. But it’s an important part of their decision-making process, so it needs to be addressed.
Oh crap, I can see how lousy my drawing is. I tried to keep it simple but it’s so simple that it’s misleading.
North of this drawing is a whole bunch of additional rooms. It’s not an exterior wall.
Thanks for the suggestion. Not going to work in our situation. At least not for a decade or more when I possibly have more time and money to make that kind of change to layout. (Also the garage is currently at capacity with all of the kid gear out there.)
This is very promising. Thank you!
Yeah, it’s not fun. I have a very rudimentary lint filter on the outside of the vent (in the garage) that helps somewhat.

When feasible, I leave the garage door open to help with air flow. I think my garage door opener has the ability to set alternate opening “programs” so maybe I can set one that gives a few inches of opening. That would mitigate most of my concerns with leaving the garage door open.
I’ll look into this. I’d prefer to not replace a functioning appliance, but its been a few years since I checked into ventless, so it’s good to know that there is a potential tax credit.
Yeah
