Prudish origins aside… I do think they’re an excellent tool for parents and individuals to make informed choices. It’s not practical to screen everything yourself. Going to a 3rd party like rotten tomato’s is just option A with extra steps.

So like I’ve been vaguely paying attention to them finding larger, farther, and more red-shifted galaxies. I’ve been suspecting the universe is a black hole for a while now.

What if: information CAN survive the event horizon… but only if it hits the accretion disk from the side at the perfect angle to spiral in. That’s why JWST is finding galaxies that are larger, older, and much more common than we’d anticipated -they’re extra-universal objects.

What if dark energy is a function of hawking radiation… and the expansion of our universe is driven by primordial black holes? Maybe hawking radiation is the black hole equalizing the same anti-matter/matter asymmetry we’ve observed in our universe.

I’m sure someone formally educated on the subject can debunk those ideas tho.

Anecdotal evidence but I saw one parent say their 9 year old dgif and immediately asked them to play outside with them; which they rarely did prior.

Kids want attention, thats why social media is so dangerous for them; they’re sitting ducks for predators.

I work with kids and except for legit ipad babies, kids treat cellphones like a backup when there’s nothing better to do… they prefer playing games with other kids or engaging their parents/role-models.

I think any AI with the ability to affect meaningful external harm would also have access to information that would invalidate any claims made by a user. Any claims you make would be tested against every company email, ms-teams/slack message, inter-device traffic, and data like employee physical access logs. An AI could easily find holes in your story based on facts/data you’d never have known.

According to another comment the study posted is supposedly bs cuz they prompted the ai with a list that included blackmail. (tho i have not verified that myself)

I feel like silver is a more practical apocalypse metal than gold because of its anti bacterial properties. Even if you can’t turn it into surgical tools you can use it to help preserve drinking water.
