DS9 s5e16 “Dr. Bashir, I Presume?,” s6e10 “The Magnificent Ferengi,” and s7e13 “Field of Fire”
Why do they look like a PS1 character?
Because Paramount did us all the disservice of not
preservingdishing out the dough on DS9 or Voyageron film which could bein order to upscale quality. I used screenshots on Trekcore.com, upscaled, and cropped elements on my phone.Edit: a matter of money and not available sources correction per [email protected]
My understanding was that DS9 (and I thought most, if not all, of Voyager) was made on film like TNG, then edited on videotape with effects added. Creating a HD version for them would be the same process as remastering TNG. As far as I know, the reason this hasn’t happened is the cost involved.

You’re right, I misremembered, it does boil down to their stinginess. Their return on value after remastering TNG wasn’t enough to garner the effort on the others. Maybe since the merger, it’ll be reconsidered. Won’t hold my breath, though.
While DS9 quality is an issue, I think Keevan is just a PS1 character- a beautiful one.
