A “superbug” that can cause severe infections in hospital patients is on the rise, with cases rising to their highest levels over the past two months in Nevada health care facilities.

    For the lazy, it’s Candida auris. It’s a fungus that infects immunocompromised people in hospitals and is very resistant to many existing antifungals.
