This can stack up too, you remember what you remembered to then forgot it again and then remember again and then forgot again. It doesn’t happen too often but when it does, feel like crying and question if i have Alzheimer
This typo would be perfect if again.it was an app to help you remember stuff
I abuse the fuck out of my tasks list to help me remember shit.
Just permanently living with a remembrall flashing in your head…
“It tells me if I’ve forgotten something! Only I can’t remember what I’ve forgotten…”
On my medicine I have learned that I can remember one thing at a time. This doesn’t sound like a lot. But it’s technically infinitely more than I was remembering before.
It’s like a plate of spaghetti up there with huge variation in noodle length.
At age 35 everybody oughta just carry a notebook and a pen with them. Because every other way to remember thing either fails to be fast enough or entices you to do something else.
On the one hand, completely agree. On the other hand, this would only work for me if I kept one notebook for writing and one for doodling, because the instant I’m done writing, that page is filled with random little lines and swirls and drawings.
I’ve tried this several times and I always forget I’ve got a notebook and a pen.
Or I have the pen upside down in my pocket and it leaks and I get a blue bit on my leg.
Why take up valuable pocket/bag space with a notebook, when you already carry a phone with you everywhere?
I utilize the built-in Notes and To-Do apps on my phone daily; they’re very useful for remembering things. No clunky notepad needed.
There’s also Habitica if you want to make remembering things feel like you’re doing quests in a video game.
I really wish medical technology had advanced to the point that someone could get in there with a hook and a jet of water like a dental hygienist and just suck all the plaque out of the folds of my brain
I find that my short term memory is directly connected to how inconvenient it would be to forget. It feels like my brain is basically trolling me “Ahaaa… you wanted to remember this didn’t you! Well, how about I block the memory and give you a vague sense of unease instead? Don’t worry, the minute you don’t need this information anymore, I’ll give it back to you” (laughs in Disney villain).
Every threshold gives me amnesia
I feel attacked.
Don’t worry, give it three more seconds.
Actually tried to respond but forgot what 💀
