minus-squarePlutoniumAcid@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up1·1 year agoThere were ad blockers even then, like “Web Washer”. Browser plugins/extensions weren’t invented yet so these tools were locally installed proxy servers with simple black/whitelists. Worked really well!
