Student voters are increasingly powerful — boasting some 40 million eligible voters. However, students face a hidden threat to their right to vote: “Use It or Lose It” voter roll purging laws.
Started off when the Gov of Georgia was Secretary of State and he send a junk mail looking postcard to folks in “transient” areas with non permanent residents who run the risk of being registered in multiple locations …which just so happen to be largely democratic/minorities. Like college towns, or areas with renters vs home owners…the criteria was if you didn’t vote in the last two elections and didn’t respond to the bullshit card, they were presumed to have moved.
Also for the record they removed 400,000 voters in GA that way and won the Governor race by less than 100,000 votes.
Well on the plus side, you can show up to polls completely unregistered with your id and register in like 10 seconds, as long as you’ve got the right location.
How is unregistering anyone who can legally vote legal?

It isnt. But since when have things like laws stopped Trump?
This tactic goes way back. It’s Trump this time but it’s a tool used by the GOP for decades
Happens in my state every. Single. Cycle. Or at least it does to me, anyway.
This would have me up in arms if it happened in my state.
