For example, I don’t like Will Ferrell in his typical roles. Oh they just drive me batty.

But. I do love Stranger Than Fiction. It’s such a cozy movie.

Chris Pratt’s only good films were the Guardians of the Galaxy fims and the Lego Movie and his face wasn’t even in one of those.

OMG! That’s exactly the way I feel. Stranger than Fiction is a masterpiece.

I don’t care for Will Ferrell but I don’t hate him as a person and that’s what I thought you meant.

I can’t believe you used this example. Amazing!!!

And Adam Driver with his stupid face.

Not 100% of the time but there are several. The one that comes to mind is Jeff Goldblum. My wife feels the same. We never like him but many of the movies we like well enough we just wish he was not in them. So like wicked and the original jurassic park are like that. Curiously I liked him in the fly but that seems to be a one off. Literally the moment I see his face and he speaks I want to punch him.

Matthew Broderick. Putting aside the vehicular manslaughter that he did, and considering only film performances, I’ve still never seen him in anything and thought he was good and that the film wouldn’t probably be better if they had cast someone else. (In particular, I mourn the version of The Producers we could have had if they had managed to reunite Nathan Lane with Lee Evans.)

I’ll grant that Broderick did an alright job of voicing Simba, though.

Adam Sandler, even though I love a few of his movies like Uncut Gems, Waterboy, and Happy Gilmore.

    Drew Barrymore. no exceptions.

    Tom Holland.

    Anthony Mackie.

Benedict Cumberbund or however you spell it.

Steven Seagal, he’s complete garbage on every level. He can’t act, he can’t run, he’s a sex trafficker and rapist, and his whole career was started with a bet by producers to make the most incapable and unlikable person famous.

Also, aikido, he can’t even do a stupid useless fake “martial art” invented to sell to suburbanite children properly.

Did you not see that demonstration where he effortlessly destroys an entire dojo of people by wrist-flipping them one at a time without moving his hands more than 20cm?

      Thats raw skill.

That’s a good point, most of them didn’t even come in contact with him before they went flying through the air. Probably a chakra thing, just using raw spirit energy like Naruto.

    Anthony Mackie.

He has a face that is simultaneously smug and dumbstruck. He ruined Altered Carbon, he was the weakest part of the Falcon & Einyer Soldier series, and he just screams “Overrated” to me.

But he was ok in 8 Mile.

He’s a total charisma void imo, and I definitely despise him in leading roles, but he’s ok when he isn’t the main focus. Like i think he was pretty great for the character in Hurt Locker because he was able to just be a total straight man for Renner to bounce his fucked up trauma off of.

Chris Pratt, I never got why he’s famous. I was never a fan anything he did he just seemed like a one trick pony. (Be the dumb/funny chubby guy) then he did Guardians of the Galaxy and yes I did enjoy it but that’s about it. And with him being casted in almost everything lately I’m done with him.

Chris Pratt, I never got why he’s famous.

Because he was amazing in Parks and Rec.

After that though, as studios do they pushed and pushed and pushed him into everything and his acting skills don’t hold up, so the fatigue and annoyance sets in.

Same. Aside from parks and rec and guardian films, pretty much avoid his trash. He’s also a super judgemental religious nut.

Seems like his popularity was completely forced.

Star Wars is about the only movie I don’t like with him, and it’s not because of his acting, but as you maybe meant his whole character feels forced in.

Other than that, can’t hate anything Adam Driver is in - dude is an astounding actor, I’m usually floored by his performances in other movies. Doesn’t have Brad Pitt looks or whatever, but boy can he play convincingly absolutely any part they give him, and that’s why I think they give him tons.

Jared Leto. All his best roles are the ones that could have been better, if they were played by someone else.
