No but where the fuck do you actually go to get meds…

    You house doctor? A therapist?

I can never find a clear answer when googling.

(Btw i live in Germany if that matters)

So in Germany, only medical doctors are allowed to prescribe medicine, and therapists are not doctors, but psychologists. Medicine against psychological issues are prescribed by psychiatrists (Psychiater), who are doctors focused on psychology. As far as I know, you are usually referred to a psychiatrist by a therapist, but I’m not sure on that point.

To add: You can look for a psychiatrist by yourself if you want to. A referral from your GP is only strictly necessary if you take part in a GP model - which means, at one point you signed a contract agreeing to only seeing specialists when referred to one. So basically, look online for Psychiatrists in your region and simply call them. BTW Psychotherapists cannot issue referrals, but they might recommend someone. Generally speaking though psychotherapists aren’t needed to get medication in Germany, they offer psychotherapy.
