Totally a thing but definitely not as easy to use to identify people as its made out to be.
It also seems to get less accurate the more people it has to deal with
Look, don’t destroy my hopes for seeing a revolution from people doing silly walks. Things are awful, gotta have some levity in there.
Also, more seriously, never underestimate the US governments willingness to embrace a half-baked technology and willingness to embrace false positives as positives.

That’s true but they’re just going to use that to prosecute you after they have you in prison and they’ll just fabricate whatever evidence they need.
