IIRC, the Pokemon company has a really high turnover, because they fire all their senior engineers to keep costs down. So the jankyness of it is due to inexperience of their staff.
Wasn’t this always Nintendo’s approach? Or are they going even cheaper, like how every Pokemon game looks like it was made by one person.
