The president wins over sparring factions within his own party to get the bill passed after months of wrangling.

218 to 214. Republicans could afford to lose 3 votes, they lost 2.

I ate food with friends and family, but it was very much a typical gathering. I dont think anyone said “happy 4th” or anything.

  We HAD plans, but then a close friend of my mothers passed away and that put a giant damper on things. :(
