I’ve been without a fridge for close to a month. I got a countertop ice maker for next to nothing at Goodwill the next day. Really it’s all I need. I’ve I buy strawberries I just put some ice on them every few hours, and they last a week.
It also doesn’t hurt my city is known for having some of the best tap water on earth.
The container has holes as it is. It also doesn’t hurt that they normally don’t last more than a few days. But I feel you on the ADHD. I’m terminally without attention.

For some reason you said “I don’t have a fridge” and my brain translated that to “I have no electricity and live in a cabin in the forest”… I was eagerly googling how to make home made ice using some fancy old process… Yes, I am quite dumb at times.
Lol! I just commented about orcas domesticating humans so I feel that. And ironically enough, I do live in a cabin although not out in the woods. I’m actually just outside the downtown area of a tourist trap city. It’s quite a cozy little ~1000 sq feet.

There is simply too much ADHD in this household to pull that off. We’d wind up with tepid strawberry-water, every time.
