Outrage grows in Italy as antisemitic posters spark fears of institutionalized hate and renewed calls for political accountability to safeguard Jewish community
Are you bating us to compare Israels almost two year long demolition of Palestine, to the attack that Hamas did back in 2023? or trying to justify that it is a suitable reaction to it? I guess you want us to discuss details and enter an endless fractal of back and forths. That point has long expired
Hate to break it to you, but the entire state of Israel is actually on Palestinian land. The land was literally called Palestine by Britain before they gave it to Israel in 1948 or so…
For reference, Trump was born in 1946
One could argue that in the time before Christ there were Jewish people in the area, but if we’re doing that, pretty much every nation state is illegitimate.
As others have said. Disagreeing with Israeli policy is not any semetic at all.
This is not about policy, Israelis didn’t choose to be born there
Israel is a democracy. They chose their government. Reap what you sow and all that.

So if you’re a Palestinian Israeli, who in no way supports the government or voted for it, you get to be discriminated against?
Would it be fair to ban Americans because one disagrees with Trump?
Yes.
Was it fair to bomb Germans because of Hitler?
Is it fair to sanction a country because of it’s leadership?
Would it be fair to ban Jewish Germans from universities?
How exactly is it comparable?
There are Palestinian Israelis
And? How is it related to what you said?
Because banning Germans from the US in 1939 would exclude Jewish refugees from Germany from the US too
Excluding Israelis also excludes people who are ethnically Arab from Israel
And?
so israel’s action in gaza is justified because gazans attacked first?

so has the accusation of genocide
Yes. Its no longer an accussattion. Its more a fact and common knowledge

Yes.
Many countries are already boycotting lots of American stuff. Nothing racial about it.
I could easily see a business saying no Israeli citizens allowed but still welcome American Jews with Israeli heritage. Still not antisemitic.
