Oh yeah it’s not something I’d mess about with if you’re sensitive to cannabis in the first place, although it does have a lower potency than the traditional Delta-9-THC, it can still get you stoned. Especially if you have little to no THC tolerance. Experienced users tend not to get much out of it.

I’ve had a very similar experience to OP in the last few months, it’s actually what originally lead me to discovering the fediverse in the first place. They have automated detection that will ban you within seconds of making a post. I appealed because I had no idea my alt account had even been banned from the subreddit I was posting on in the first place.

It’s unreal. Rather than giving you a warning when trying to make a post they just automatically ban you and will auto-reject any appeals you make.

Delta-9 THC IS what people just called “THC” forever. It’s the very same compound that’s found in your recreational or medical cannabis products. It can be extracted from hemp naturally. The distinction in naming conventions is a more recent thing due to the prevalence of Delta-8 THC products.

This legislation will also kill any federally legal Delta-9 THC products like edibles or drinks, and might kill a lot of CBD products as well.

You should know that there are also federally legal Delta-9 THC products that will get wrapped up in this ban, as well as probably most CBD products. Would be a huge blow to the legal hemp industry.

It’s not just Delta-8. Most CBD products as well as legal hemp-derived Delta-9 THC products would get wrapped up in this as well, and I am personally in favor of them remaining legal.

This isn’t just about Delta-8 products. This will affect CBD products. This will affect legal hemp-derived Delta-9 THC products. This will have a major negative impact on the legal hemp industry as a whole. I don’t normally agree with Rand Paul on much, but I agree with him on this one. There’s a lot of hemp farming done in KY that this legislation threatens.

The funny workaround here is that products like edibles and drinks can easily still contain a recreational dose of Delta-9 THC while staying well below 0.3% THC by volume. This has created a legal market for THC products which this legislation is threatening.

I usually don’t see eye to eye with Rand Paul, but this bill will effectively destroy the legal hemp and CBD industries in America, as well as the legal THC market. I’m with him on this one. I am very surprised there’s nobody else fighting for it.

Wow talk about racist. The name Fuentes comes from Spanish and French origin, which are mostly white people. Also 10-15% of Mexico’s population is white. To assume someone is non-white because their last name is Fuentes is actually hilariously racist.

I’m just pointing out that not everyone thrives in a WFH environment and I think it shouldn’t be a controversial take to admit that.

I work in an industry that doesn’t sleep, that doesn’t mean I’m putting in more than 40 hours a week on a regular basis. But we need someone to be on-call over the weekends in case there is an emergency. And when I do, my boss lets us take additional time off later in the week to make up for it. You guys are making crazy assumptions based off nothing.

That works great if you have the space to do so. I live in a very small home by myself and I really don’t have that kind of space around.

Its not a uniquely “me” problem, I’ve talked to plenty of other people who feel the same way as I do. I’m not talking about putting in extra time when I’m not supposed to be at work. I’m just talking about how it “feels” to constantly by in your workplace like that. I personally think it kinda sucks. I’m sure other people can deal with it fine, but I live in a small house where I don’t really have a separate room like a basement office or something I can dedicate to being my workspace. I might feel differently about it if I had the space.

Benchmarks are readily available, I have a 5080. Some DX11 and older games do run slightly better on Linux. But a lot of them don’t. And pretty much 100% across the board DX12 games run 10-30% slower on Linux compared to Windows. Nvidia has even acknowledged the issue and claims to be working on a solution.

I liked working from home at first, but after so long it becomes harder and harder to leave your work at “work” when your workplace is also your home. Now I am back in the office and actually prefer it that way. I have the flexibility to work from home on weekends or when I need to be home for some reason, which is good enough for me.

I know I am a display tech nerd, but can people really not tell the difference? Even going from a 1440p to a 4k monitor to me was a very noticeable improvement to clarity. And there’s a huge difference in the way that games look on my living room TV in 1080p compared to 4k.

Kinda like kraft dinner with minced meat. It’s pretty good.
