I mean, I also acknowledged them as philosophical dilemmas in another comment, but I suppose it is my own fault for not clarifying that in the first.

Very interesting stuff, thank you!
Albeit the post seems a bit esoteric for lemmyshitpost without the extra context
Well obviously it is a philosophical dilemma, but the dozens of ironic variations created for memes gave it a different purpose as meme template.
Otherwise it would be a lot less well known i would guess, under normal circumstances you encounter this perhaps once or twice during your education unless you actively take an interest in such musings. Due to the memes I probably come across the drawing once per week if not more
Not op, no idea either. Best I can make of it is some sort of surrealist fifth level multi layered reference to several memes at once? The only one I know is the trolley problem one
Having the pixel buds myself, I feel your pain. Do a little bit of physical activity and at least one side gets loose and slippery.
I found that I simply dont have symmetrical ear canals, I use the mid size plug on one and the smallest plug on the other ear. That way they seem to fit somewhat reliably.
Dont you worry, mint provides a detailed step by step tutorial on how to do things:

Not op, but i dont care much for the show myself either. I used to, when it was new and something different, but I believe I have grown past the pseudointellectual, but actual college humor. It just hits different these days
Once you’re older than 15 you will discover that a few things in life can have a massive impact on your general well being and health, and it absolutely makes sense to spend big on those. Good shoes are one of these things, a quality mattress appropriate for your body type is another.
Very accurate and disturbing
Definitely. There is about a handful of terminally online users who are posting here way too much for way too long, they should probably take a step back and touch some grass, which i mean in the most respectful and understanding way imaginable.
On the other hand, those people are main content providers and their unhealthy behavior is our gain.
They added an option to subscribe instead. Pay a monthly fee, get access to any and all dlc.
I dont love their monetization model either but I understand the need for financial return on the investment of continued development.
Honestly who gives a shit, we are talking about phone OSes. I dont have a strong enough opinion about any of this to care which of them does what first. Use what you like and move on mentally
Yes, in fact that is the only kind of ai i would ever use and entrust my data to. Not the apple one, but an open source model that is running only on my device and answering only to me; using the data I provide only for my interests? That one I would use.
… Every moderately sized grocery store here has bagels.
This is a police statistic, so the crimes measured are criminal cases, not financial fraud or such. Those are not investigated by the police.
The cited data refers to foreigners, not immigrants. Although I would argue that the distinction in this case is largely nitpicking anyway, since as far as I understand foreigners in this context are prospecting immigrants, who are already in the country and await the processing of their application for citizenship, or non-citizens simply living here for any reason.
I’m not even sure what you are trying to argue, you even agree with me that the data shows a very concerning trend over the years. Just semantics?
Feel free to read the second paragraph as well, I specifically mentioned that this doesnt just count convictions. I also refer to foreigners, which is probably the most accurate way to translate "Ausländer“, not just immigrants.
As the other commenter pointed out, they make up a much smaller fraction of the population and are still involved in a disproportionate amount of the overall committed crimes.
While those numbers undoubtedly disregard a variety of circumstances and factors that might affect the statistic, such as the possibility of race based prejudice causing foreigners to be easier suspected and in consequence investigated, it shows a very worrying trend over the last decade that likely contributed to the disastrous recent European election results.
Dont forget that the vast majority of users either doesnt know Linux, distrusts Linux, has heard rumors at any point in time about some feature or component not working as perfectly as under windows, is uninterested in computers beyond their daily usage function, or finds themselves in a social circle or job environment hostile to Linux.
What Linux needs to get widely adopted is settle for one central distro, iron out all bugs and compatibility issues and do a bunch of testing with windows users to determine what differences they are confused by. The goal must be to create total feature and compatibility parity with windows, and make the whole process so incredibly simple that even absolute morons with zero interest in computers can both use it instinctively and not miss anything their windows used to do. Then run a massive adoption campaign.
Now I know many aspects of this are directly opposed to the fos ethos, but if Linux ever wants to claim market share they need to spend big on it and pick up the users where they are; in a place of zero user ability and a lot of ignorance.
