Agreed on this. Polpette is supposed to be a second course, while pasta sauces are supposed to be “saucy”, not over-clumpy as polpette

World News@lemmy.world•LIVE: US withdraws embassy staff from Israel and LebanonEnglish
24·3 days agoYes, but saying “Trump” is shorter and often clearer than “the loosely defined group of people of which Trump is the spokesman”
The market has shrunk and the prices have gone up… there are still some good items on the second hand market, at times, depending on location.
How are people surprised ! That’s just sad
I learned the hard way that my limit is one and a half. The half means “sometimes, a second shot is fine, sometimes NOT”

19·27 days agoAbsolutely. And in the less extreme variants, there are cultures for which good food is the base of socialization - you mostly meet up for dinner or similar - and others where good food is the exception, happening for big occasions and parties but not an every day occurrence.

21·29 days agoIf I remember correctly, there is a bit of speculation on how that applied to the work schedule in cities, where the population was mostly of artisans that could take full days of rest.
That’s the beauty of it!
Yeah, sometimes you overlook some elements and once pointed out you can’t unsee it. (My opinion of the book the name of the wind honestly dropped after convincing my partner to read it)

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•The amount of ghost towns in the US and elsewhere will skyrocket during our lifetime and become a normalized thing
17·1 month agoIn the Alps, there are already quite some ghost towns. Small towns either turned into touristic villages or disappeared over the last 50 years. Others were border towns that slowly went out of business. So many are hanging in by a thread, with increasingly old population.

(Not adhd here)
This method is great, extremely flexible and applicable in many areas.
On the practical side, I found that using something is determined by more than just being practical. Initially I started with the Todoist app. It has both the data dump function, prioritizing functionality, calendar. Perfect.
I also often used random pieces of paper to brainstorm better, I find physicality to be important for longer lists.
Somehow, though, the list format doesn’t always click for me and I over time pivoted to Google Calendar. I find it easy to just dump new events for tomorrow/next Monday and then organize them when I get there. The recurrences are easier to visualize too. And I can at a glance look at a given day and figure out I will not make it to the end of the pile and restructure. I also keep “the past” organized and looking at all the tasks completed gives a boost of motivation.
