Yeah, I think it might be some kind of rate limiting. In another thread, it happened to someone else after batch-downloading videos with yt-dlp, which also prevented yt-dlp from downloading. Then it was back to normal (no sign in required) a few hours later.
I normally use NewPipe but that didn’t work so I used Firefox and got that lovely message on the video. But now, a few hours later, it all works again…
They’re upset about your use of UBO. They are actively targeting users who have it enabled. That’s why it’s trying to force you to sign in.
For what it’s worth, I second the others. Don’t disable Ublock Origin. Try a different YouTube front end if you have to. Google can kick rocks with that nonsense.
You’re probably using revanced or vanced … there was a recent patch, you have to update it.
It also does it sometimes if you’re on a VPN.
I’m getting it constantly in my old reddit app with vpn off. Seems if it doesn’t recognize your browser fingerprint it will call you a bot.

Can’t imagine it’s a rate limit in my case, it happens the very first time I try to load a video with the in-app browser
That happened to me but it lasts like a month. No one in the house could watch YouTube lol

Yes I use ubo. I don’t know if I could browse the internet without it.
Internet looks very different without it.
