Might be these days. But a decade ago it was fucking everywhere. So many people I know who thought they experienced their first LSD trip were actually sold an NBOMe instead, myself included.

When I finally got the opportunity to try real LSD, I was seriously disappointed. I was like, “where are the pretty colors”? And that’s when I learned that LSD is more of a mental trip than a visual one. The headspace is totally different too. Felt like a schizophrenic on the stuff. I can fake being sober on 25i, not so much on acid.

Honestly, that is why some people love acid. It has helped a number of people step outside their selves and witness the world with clean eyes.

Not necessarily something to drop if you want to get the giggles and see pretty colors.

Don’t get me wrong, I found them to be extremely therapeutic. 25i made me stop voting for conservatives. I like the clear-headedness of it because I can sort through my thoughts and deal with my shit on the stuff. LSD just makes me think bizarre thoughts and have wild delusions.

Like one time I thought the cable company had wiretapped my house. I thought the coax cables in the walls were picking up the vibrations of my voice and transmitting it back to HQ. Called them to complain and I thought they were speaking to me in code. Like they wouldn’t admit it directly but we’re subtly confirming my suspicions.

I later sat down to watch TV, Titanic was on and I kept seeing hidden messages in the commercials referencing the film. And then a dog barked in one of the commercials and a second later my dad walked by and pat me on the head similar to a dog (I was in my early 20s and living at home at the time). Everything felt connected; that was some real schizophrenic shit. I really believed it too. At least on an NBOMe, I realize when I’m being delusional.
