If you got laid off for your ethics, it’s probably a good thing in the long run

Would you rather have a rough time now, or slowly be hollowed out inside over the course of years before you get screwed over anyways?

Ethics don’t help you, but lack of ethics catches up with you. For most people, they don’t even benefit much before the other shoe drops

I’d rather sleep at night than constantly think about a bunch of terrible lies I have to remember.

A building of lies quickly becomes unmaintainable as you pile on lies to support earlier lies. Honesty may sometimes look like it throws you back, but it’s much less stressful and less mess than all the accumulated deceit coming down.

Damn I’m sorry dude. Something similar happened to me, was out of a job for a month, applied to a bunch of stuff on indeed and found something. Start time is super early so that sucks :/ hoping to find something else eventually while I got some income.

Hope you find something too, keep pushing through the rejections.
