Here in Spokane we’re showing off our second-ratedness again. Can’t even have a proper mass shooting: https://www.spokesman.com/stories/2025/jul/04/false-report-of-shooting-scatters-crowd-of-thousan/ .

Flocks of panicked people fled Riverfront Park late Friday after false reports of an active shooter quickly spread through the crowd.

The fear in the crowd apparently was sparked by a misunderstanding of an “altercation” near the Clocktower, Spokane police said in a news release. Officers initially were told a gun may have been seen but no shots were fired. When they contacted a male believed to be involved, he was unarmed and “no victim came forward.” No arrests were made. And police found no evidence a shot was fired.

By the time fireworks restarted before 10:30 p.m., there was only a scattering of people left. Even many of those still in the park who knew the report was false were no longer in the mood for patriotic revelry and continued to leave.

Spokanistanians are clearly dying for a world-class patriotic mass shooting with all the panic and fallout, but no deal, just disappointment. Idaho is currently stealing all the attention with the recent ambush and murders of wildlands firefighters.

“Hundreds of unsupervised kids down here,” he said, while speaking in the city’s downtown. “I don’t know how many times I had to say it: We are not your children’s keepers. You are! And parents and guardians have got to step up.”

When did it become illegal to be a teenager? Just seeing a teen exists seems to drive some people crazy. Is it illegal for teenagers to hang out? If not, why is he ranting about parents?

When did it become illegal to be a teenager?

Shortly after tiktok made kids do dumb things for cheap popularity.

I’m more thankful, day by day, that I escaped my teens before every kid had a phone and every phone had a camera.

I realize that the Indianapolis chief’s comments may be out of context, but why is he angry at the parents of the victims? Does he think parents should always accompany their 15 and 16 year olds out of the house? maybe save some anger for whoever actually shot those kids?

Victim blaming has arrived for gun violence. This marks an historic achievement in the development of propaganda!´

Thousands of cops and fascists are smacking themselves in the forehead right now and saying: Wow! Actually I invented this! I’ve been saying years ago “Hey, why are you hitting yourself?”

The chief of cops is mad at parents for having children because now he has to do his job of making sure the streets are safe. just do your job or get the fuck out. Jesus. So many whiny authoritarians.

100% on-brand for this war machine, only this time the “patriotic” teens are dying on American soil. 🫣🤮
